UltraGrid Technology at Networkshop42 Conference

Brno April 15, 2014. On April 3rd, 2014, the Invasive and Interventional Cardiology Center of Internal Cardiology Clinic at University Hospital in Brno in cooperation with CESNET Association and UltraGrid participated at aNetworkshop42 con­ference organized in Leeds by JANET Consortium, which is responsible for research and education e-infrastructure in the United Kingdom.

Brno April 15, 2014. On April 3rd, 2014, the Invasive and Interventional Cardiology Center of Internal Cardiology Clinic at University Hospital in Brno in cooperation with CESNET Association participated at aNetworkshop42 con­ference organized in Leeds by JANET Consortium, which is responsible for research and education e-infrastructure in the United Kingdom.

The Brno University Hospital together with CESNET Association and Masaryk University (MU) are world pioneers in utilization of interactive HD and 4K video transmissions in computer networks for pre-graduate and post-graduate education in cardiology. Based on feedback from abroad, MUDr. Petr Kala, Ph.D. (Brno University Hospital/MU) and RNDr. Petr Holub, Ph.D. (CESNET/MU), leaders of cooperating medical and informatics teams, received an invitation to give lecture on use of high-quality video transmissions in interventional cardiology. This medicine area is unique due to the deployment of concurrent image techniques, mainly X-ray, optical coherent tomography and myocardium fractional flow reserve (FFR) that are indispensable for accurate and effective decisions about appropriate treatment as well as performance of endoscopic surgeries.
